Description
Santa Julia is a great example of how Mendocinian soil can make a special kind of wine. They make this wine by aging it in barrels from France for 10 months. The wine is really, really dark purple. It smells like ripe red and black fruits, with hints of vanilla, chocolate, and tobacco. It’s not too heavy, and it has the smooth tannins that Malbec wines are known for.
The grapes used to make Santa Julia Reserve Malbec come from vineyards in Uco Valley. These vineyards are located at high altitudes, between 954 and 1402 meters above sea level. This special place is perfect for making wines that have strong smells and tastes.
