LES GRANGES HAUT MEDOC 750ML
LKR 10,300.00
Les Granges Haut-Medoc wine is a nice, dark red color. When you smell it, it doesn’t have a strong smell of wood. Instead, it smells mostly like red currants, plums, and some herbs.
When you take a sip, it feels a bit heavy and young, and it makes your mouth feel a little dry because of the tannins. You can taste crushed red currants and a flavor like sage. The aftertaste stays in your mouth for a decent amount of time, and it feels fresh.

Description
“Les Granges” is the second wine of Baron Edmond de Rothschild’s three prestigious châteaux: Chateau Clarke (located in AOC Listrac Médoc and acquired in 1973), Château Malmaison (located in AOC Moulis en Médoc and also acquired in 1973), and Château Peyre-Lebade (located in AOC Haut Médoc Cru Bourgeois and acquired in 2003 on Listrac).
Tasting Notes: When you smell this wine, you’ll notice lovely scents of fresh fruits like blackcurrant, strawberry, and blackberry. When you taste it, you’ll find that it has a rich flavor with hints of vanilla, and the tannins (which are compounds found in wine) are fine and long-lasting. The finish is rich and well-balanced, with a gentle and smooth woodiness.
Grape Varieties: This wine is made from 65% Merlot grapes and 35% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. It is aged in barrels that have previously held another vintage for twelve months.
Pairings: “Les Granges” goes well with grilled meats, especially grilled lamb, and dishes with mushrooms.
Serving Temperature: It’s best served at a temperature of 16°C.
