The Bin 28 is named after the Kalimna vineyard that was purchased back in 1945 and from which the original fruit was sourced from. Today, the Bin 28 is a great example of the Penfolds dedication to multi-region, multi-vineyard blending. Penfolds Bin 28 is a showcase for warm-climate Australia Shiraz – ripe, robust and generously flavored. Smooth and nicely balanced, this wine is all about its lovely fruit. The palate’s plum fruit are dense and mouth filling, and go the distance through the finish. Nose is deep with concentrated fruit, soil and eucalyptus notes. Match with grilled rib-eye.
