Description
Tignanello is a special wine. It was the first Sangiovese wine to be kept in oak barrels, and it was also the first red wine mixed with different types of grapes, like Cabernet. This wine comes from the Chianti Classico area, but unlike others, it doesn’t use white grapes.
In 2017, the weather was different, and Tignanello 2020 stands out. It has a deep ruby-red color and smells really interesting. You can smell ripe red fruits like cherries, sour cherries, raspberries, and plums. There’s also a hint of spiciness with cloves and licorice, and a sweet balsamic touch like mint and chocolate.
When you taste it, it feels rich, full, and lively with smooth, velvety tannins. The taste lingers for a while, and you can still sense the same aromas you smelled earlier.
